The DDJ-GRV6 brings club-feel to the 4-channel controller: large jogs, Groove Circuit, and multi-software support.
The AlphaTheta DDJ-GRV6 is a four-channel DJ controller with which AlphaTheta takes a step towards club-standard. Instead of the classic two-channel design of many entry-level controllers, you get four full-fledged channels with their own EQ, fader, and Beat FX control – built for DJs coming from a 2-channel setup and wanting more room to maneuver in their mix.

Groove Circuit as a central tool
The core of the DDJ-GRV6 is the so-called Groove Circuit. This allows you to swap drum elements of a track live, distort them with roll and trans effects, or cut them out with Release FX – designed for spontaneous beat reconstruction in the middle of a set, without having to connect a separate drum machine. This is complemented by Beat FX, which, according to the manufacturer, are inspired by the DJM-A9 club mixer series.
Design: Large jogs, compact housing
The jog wheels, at 206 mm, have the same diameter as those of the CDJ-3000X, which should provide a familiar scratch and nudge feel if you're coming from club players. Eight performance pads and eight Hot Cues are available per deck, plus a sampler with 16 slots across 4 banks in rekordbox or 8 slots across 4 banks in Serato DJ Pro. With dimensions of 711.4 × 375.9 × 75.7 mm and a weight of 4.6 kg, the controller remains portable despite its four channels.
Connections and Software
The built-in 4-channel mixer offers two USB-C ports, a master output as TRS jack and RCA, a booth output via RCA, a microphone input, and headphone outputs. The device is class-compliant, meaning it doesn't require additional audio drivers. Unlike pure rekordbox controllers, the DDJ-GRV6 also works with Serato DJ Pro as well as with djay Pro and djay – only on rekordbox Mobile are channels 1 and 2 exclusively available.

FAQ
Does the DDJ-GRV6 only work with rekordbox?
No. In addition to rekordbox, the controller also supports Serato DJ Pro as well as djay Pro (Mac/Windows) and djay (iOS). Only the mobile rekordbox app is limited to channels 1 and 2.
What exactly does the Groove Circuit do?
It allows you to swap drum elements of a track via Drum Swap and modify them live using Roll, Trans, and Release effects, without additional hardware.
