BASHKKA is releasing her new four-track EP ‘CORE’ on fabric Originals this November and has shared the single ‘Surrender’.

New release in November

Producer BASHKKA has announced her upcoming four-track EP titled CORE, scheduled to arrive on 6th November via fabric Originals. Alongside the announcement, she has made the lead single Surrender available.

The EP deals with processing heartbreak and instability, moving toward optimism, clarity, and joy. According to the press release, the artist characterizes the project as an excavation.

Background of the production

BASHKKA described the production as personal self-therapy, explaining that she refused to bend or make compromises. She noted that she emerged stronger and with a clearer sense of her identity, values, and position both as a person and as an artist.

On Instagram, she noted that her experiences over the previous 18 months inspired her to spend winter and spring in the studio. She created music with the mindset that no one was watching or familiar with her work, describing the return to her roots as liberating.

Previous work and label context

In 2023, BASHKKA recorded a New Year's Eve podcast mix for fabric and issued her debut EP Maktub to launch Nene H's imprint UMAY. During 2024, she remixed CC:DISCO!'s Magic (Is In The Tempo) and hosted for DJ Mag's Ones To Watch residency on BBC Radio 1 Dance Presents.

This year, fabric Originals has also issued music from Jasmín and DJ Nobu, as well as the sixth SELECTS compilation.
