On 17.12.2026, the label Blitz Discs launches with the release CHAPTER 1 CLOSED!. It operates as a sublabel of Childhood, run by David Muallem. The compilation looks back at the musical world that developed around the BLITZ club over the past decade.
Musical Retrospective
Following the club's closure in the summer of 2026 and the subsequent deconstruction of the space, the release gathers 25 exclusive tracks spanning house, techno, and disco. Contributors include residents, regular guests, and close friends of the venue. The goal is not a uniform sound, but a reflection of how the core team and artists experienced the space.
Features of the Physical Edition
The compilation will be available digitally and as a 6×12-inch wooden box. Each copy is hand-numbered, and represses are ruled out. The design of the collector's item directly incorporates elements of the former club:
- The box is crafted from the same wood used to build the sound system.
- A cut-out BLITZ logo reveals the green vinyl, referencing the club's speakers.
- The pressings are tailored for DJ use on club sound systems.
David Muallem serves as creative director, with A&R and project management handled by Tom Altthaler and David Muallem. The exact production run of the wooden box has not been disclosed.
