Budakid presents Dreams Stretched Beyond (The Remixes) on Flores. Seven reworks bring fresh perspectives to tracks from his debut album.
Dutch-born, Berlin-based producer Budakid has released a new record titled Dreams Stretched Beyond (The Remixes). Issued on his own imprint Flores, the EP features seven reworks of his debut album, following the arrival of the original edition in July.
Seven reinterpretations at a glance
To reshape the original material, Budakid enlisted seven artists who each introduce distinct sonic approaches:
- Guy J tackles the track "Lovin' sun" with synthesizers and vocals set across a swinging groove.
- Running Back head Gerd Janson delivers a version driven by energetic chords and Italo disco color.
- Spain's Argia reworks "Hearts" using vocal elements, mid-tempo percussion, and an expressive bassline.
- Kann Records co-founder Map.ache contributes an interpretation of "Tannenheim" combining melodic textures with house and tech sensibilities.
- Fort Romeau alters "Is no ova" with broken beats and a gentle acid line.
- Argentinian artists Hernan Cattaneo and Kevin Di Serna team up for a melodic version of "Lovin' sun".
- Brazilian producer Renato Cohen finishes the release with an expansive deep tech journey.
