Dax J – Sphinx EP: Hypnosis instead of continuous fire
Dax J returns to Monnom Black with the Sphinx EP. The press release promises hypnotic, brooding techno that delves into spirituality and higher spheres. The four tracks are titled Empyrean, Sphinx, Baghdad, and Sentinel, spread across two sides of a 12".
For context: The previous double album on the label, War Is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Ignorance is Strength (MONNOM036), referenced the political slogans from Orwell's "1984" with ten tracks. The Sphinx EP, in contrast, turns its gaze inward.
