JBL presents the PartyBox Ultimate 2 featuring 1,500 watts of power, XLR line input, Wi-Fi 6, and a touchscreen built into the volume dial.
Powerful party speaker presented
JBL has introduced the PartyBox Ultimate 2. The speaker delivers an output of 1,500 watts, which according to manufacturer specifications is an increase of around 36 percent compared to the previous generation. Sound reproduction is handled by pairs of 10-inch woofers, 5-inch midrange drivers, and horn-loaded PEN tweeters, backed by a dual bass-reflex design. According to the manufacturer, the horns originate from JBL Professional systems. The AI Sound Boost feature analyzes audio in real time to keep distortion low at high output levels.
Connectivity and streaming options
To connect audio sources and DJ gear, the unit includes an XLR line-in, an optical input, and a USB-C connection for lossless playback. For wireless streaming, the speaker supports Wi-Fi 6, Roon Ready, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Qobuz Connect. It also features Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast for linking multiple compatible units.
Controls and hardware features
A touchscreen integrated directly into the volume control allows users to manage playback, lighting, and general settings. It also displays the current track and the selected light show. Additional hardware features include EasySing AI Vocal Removal for karaoke, an IPX4 splash-resistant build, as well as wheels and a handle for transport.
