Union Audio has introduced the Four.Valve Limited 55 Edition rotary DJ mixer. The unit is matched to the Technics SL-1200 55th Anniversary.
Hybrid of two designs
The unit is based on the four.valve and merges two company designs: the elara.4 MkII and the four.valve. It features RIAA and line input stages from the elara.4 MkII channel inputs paired with tubes from the Valve series. The summing stage contains a custom-designed ARJ operational amplifier.
Design and features
The design takes inspiration from the Elara mixer series and includes:
- ceramic-coated aluminium front panel and aluminium knobs from the elara series
- damped faders and solid wood side panels from the Signature series
- new illumination for the VU meters and RIAA/LINE select buttons
- gold design elements inspired by the Technics 55th Anniversary SL-1200
Presentation at ADE
The official launch takes place on October 14. A public presentation is scheduled for October 21 at ADE in Amsterdam at the Gear Test Lab (KetelHuis, Westerpark), where the mixer will be showcased from October 21 to 23. The area.6 performance mixer will also be shown there in desktop and Eurorack configurations.
