The Behringer WING is a 48-channel, 28-bus digital mixing console. Instead of a rigid channel grid, the console uses so-called FlexChannels: each of the 48 channels can be individually configured as mono, stereo, or M/S without losing capacity.

Layout and Operating Concept
The user interface is divided into three configurable fader sections with a total of 24 motorized 100mm faders, complemented by several touch-sensitive rotary encoders and a large control wheel. At its center is a 10.1-inch tiltable touchscreen with 1280 × 800 pixels, plus a second 2.4-inch display for channel editing. According to the manufacturer, the signal path uses 40-bit processing, which Behringer cites as the basis for high sound resolution and a large dynamic range.
Preamps, Routing, and Effects
Eight Midas PRO microphone preamps and an equal number of Midas PRO outputs are designed to ensure a clean signal path. For internal signal processing, 16 true stereo effect engines with more than 80 algorithms are available, and each of the 40 stereo input channels also has its own effect slots. Connectivity runs via three AES50 ports with a total of up to 144 inputs/outputs on CAT5 cable, two Ethernet ports with integrated switch, a StageConnect interface, and USB audio/MIDI with 48 bidirectional channels. This allows the WING to be operated both as a standalone console and in conjunction with Behringer X32 or Midas M32 stage boxes.
