The Denon DJ Prime GO is a standalone DJ system that works entirely without a laptop: two decks, a 7-inch touchscreen, and a built-in battery are designed to make it your companion for DJ sets on the train, in the car, or as a backup for larger gigs. Denon itself calls it the “ultimate, backpackable, most portable standalone DJ console system” in its range.

A deck system without a computer
At its heart is Denon's proprietary Engine OS, running on a multi-core processor within the device. Denon describes it as a “purpose-built, embedded software platform for DJs” designed to offer fast track loading times, intuitive navigation, management, and search. The 7-inch touchscreen serves as the control surface for waveform views, music library, track preview, as well as searching and loading tracks via touch and swipe gestures.
Streaming without a laptop
Via integrated WiFi and an Ethernet link port for wired internet, the Prime GO directly integrates streaming services without the need for an intermediary computer. According to Denon, the device covers “a wide range of streaming services”: Beatport LINK, Beatsource LINK, SoundCloud GO+, and TIDAL. If you prefer to access your own music collection, you can also connect a Dropbox account and access your personal library worldwide.
Mixer, effects, and connections
Despite its compact size, the Prime GO, according to the manufacturer, does not compromise on pro-grade features: two independently controlled microphone channels, headphone monitoring via jack and mini-jack, and a 2-channel mixer with crossfader and 3-band EQ. Additionally, there's a dual-FX module (Beat FX plus Sweep FX/Filter), timestretch and key shift functions, as well as two banks of four performance pads each for hot cues, loops, and beat rolls. Denon specifies the audio quality as 24-bit/44.1 kHz, and the housing measures 411 x 274 x 53 mm with a weight of approximately 3.68 kg.
