rekordbox 7.2.19 introduced: SoundSwitch integration
AlphaTheta has released an official SoundSwitch integration for rekordbox. The integration arrives with rekordbox 7.2.19 and SoundSwitch 2.11, both published on September 24, 2026.
Light automatically with the music
Previously, rekordbox users could only sync SoundSwitch light shows through Ableton Link, which was largely limited to tempo-based synchronization. The new application-level integration gives rekordbox DJs access to a wider feature set, including track-specific lighting scripts and fader-aware mixing.
SoundSwitch can now work directly with a rekordbox library, automatically analysing tracks and generating lighting shows to match phrasing and instrumentation. DJs can also create their own track-specific lighting scripts for more detailed control.
Autoloops and PRO DJ LINK Bridge
The integration supports SoundSwitch Autoloops – beat-synced lighting patterns that also work with tracks that have not been scripted or analysed. Importantly, Autoloops can be used when DJing with streaming services, where track-specific scripting is unavailable.
Additionally, the PRO DJ LINK Bridge gained SoundSwitch support, extending the setup to compatible CDJ and DJM hardware. The connection runs through rekordbox's existing Lighting extension under Preferences > Extensions > Lighting – any rekordbox-supported controller is ready to use.
