A-Eno-Acid releases The Last Jack on Chicago Bee

· re:union Radio editorial · 1 min read

A-Eno-Acid presents his first album The Last Jack. The tracks focus on vintage Chicago house and acid textures.

New album by A-Eno-Acid

Working under the alias A-Eno-Acid, Mark Churcher has issued the full-length record The Last Jack via his imprint Chicago Bee. Following earlier EPs, this marks the project's debut album on the platform run by Churcher since 2017.

The musical direction draws heavily on late eighties to mid-nineties vintage Chicago house. The sound design features instrumentation from the 808, 909, and the classic 303 synthesizer. The arrangement spans functional club pieces to experimental listening tracks:

  • “Hard Drive” is built around dense 303 lines.
  • “I Believe In Music” offers a calmer home-listening aesthetic.
  • “The Bee’s Mouth” incorporates sound experimentation.
