Marcos Baiano returns with the EP Back To The Future. The four-track release also marks the launch of his new imprint, 2HOT2HANDLE.
Return after an eight-year break
Following nearly eight years away from the underground scene, producer Marcos Baiano returns with new material. His EP Back To The Future arrived on October 16 and features four tracks. The release serves as the inaugural statement for his newly founded label, 2HOT2HANDLE, and includes a remix by Terence :Terry:.
Sound profile and studio hardware
Baiano describes his musical direction as "electro-black-soul". The tracks combine house rhythms with acid components and analogue gear. During production, the artist used several synthesisers, including:
- Moog Sub Phatty for edgier nuances
- Subsequent 37 for softer textures
Background and concept
Prior to his break, Baiano lived in Berlin for almost four years, where he ran B.SOUL Limited and worked within house and tech-house networks. He stated that 2HOT2HANDLE is intended to reconnect with his roots through music, fashion, and lifestyle without drifting into nostalgia. Furthermore, he views the platform as a way to slow down in a fast-paced environment and experience things with greater depth.
Beyond releases, the producer has outlined further plans for 2H2H Studio that extend beyond music alone.
