Overview of planned pedals
Behringer has announced the development of numerous new effects pedals via a Facebook post. According to the manufacturer, up to 300 stompboxes could be on the way. Some of these devices are intended to feature open-source designs that allow for user modifications.
Based on the shared information, the previewed line-up includes the following characteristics:
- Metal enclosures for all units
- A combination of analogue and digital circuitry
- A mix of clones and original designs
- Numerous pedals in a mini format
An accompanying image showed the Zentara clone in a mini-pedal housing. The graphic also depicted designs branded with the TC Electronic logo alongside Tonefuel pedalboard power supplies. Both brands belong to the parent company Music Tribe.
The manufacturer asked guitar players on the platform for feedback regarding which units should be tackled first. In doing so, the company referenced its past focus on other categories:
Behringer stated: “We’ve been so busy disrupting synthesizers, mixers and DJ gear that we completely forgot about you.”
