Steinberg updates its music production software with Cubase 15, adding new tools for production and mixing across Pro, Artist, and Elements.
New Tools for Production and Mixing
Steinberg has presented the music production software Cubase 15, featuring expanded tools for producing and mixing. The editions Cubase Pro 15, Cubase Artist 15, and Cubase Elements 15 receive various updates for studio workflows.
Overview of Edition Features
Cubase Pro and Cubase Artist include a new melodic pattern sequencer. This pattern creation tool features monophonic and polyphonic modes, custom scales, step input, shape generators, and randomization options. In Pro and Artist, the vintage synthesizer instrument Writing Room Synths is also available, alongside an expanded Halion Library.
Cubase Pro adds a redesigned creation system for expression maps linked with the Key and Score Editors. It provides articulation control, per-articulation attack compensation, and modified workflows. Furthermore, the Pro edition features AI-driven step separation designed for processing samples or room microphone recordings.
Automation enhancements are integrated across Pro, Artist, and Elements. A dedicated automation shortcut displays the most recently adjusted parameter in a streamlined menu structure. Upon opening the DAW, a customizable Hub screen provides search and filter options, audio setup tools, and project previews.
