Dreadbox dévoile Alecto, un synthétiseur de percussion analogique à deux voix. Compatible Eurorack, l'appareil intègre des séquenceurs polymétriques.
Analog Percussion Synthesizer Overview
Dreadbox has introduced Alecto, a two-voice analog percussion synthesizer. The instrument is equipped with two oscillators per voice, noise generators, dual filters, and two envelope generators. In addition to percussive duties, the unit can operate as a drone machine by disengaging the VCA envelope via a dedicated switch.
Sound Shaping and Connectivity
Sound controls include parameters for tuning and timbre. Users can morph waveforms and blend VCO signals with white noise. For shaping transients, the synth provides attack, decay, click, and pitch bend controls, as well as a high-pass filter. A patchbay offers routing points for voices, sequencer functions, and the integrated LFO.
Sequencing and Modular Integration
The unit is Eurorack-compatible and utilizes a modular-style timing approach:
- Two independent polymetric trigger sequencers
- Adjustable sequence lengths and clock division
- Trigger and reset controls
The hardware can function independently or alongside external modular gear.
