AlphaTheta has introduced the HDJ-F9, a new set of wireless DJ headphones designed for booth use.
Wireless technology and audio design
The on-ear model introduces SonicLink Touch Pairing, expanding on the company's low-latency SonicLink technology. This allows the headphones to connect with compatible DJ gear, such as the DJM-V5 three-channel mixer. The wireless system utilizes a transmitter that plugs into mixers, controllers, or other hardware to stream audio with near-zero latency.
For sound reproduction, the headphones feature 40 mm drivers alongside a bass-reflex design. According to the manufacturer, this setup is built to provide precise monitoring in loud environments and deliver clear low-end performance down to the sub-bass range.
Bluetooth and software features
In addition to dedicated low-latency wireless transmission, the headphones include:
- Multi-point Bluetooth pairing for connecting to two devices simultaneously
- Headphones Connect app support to adjust the colour and brightness of the status LED
