Union Audio introduces AREA.6, an analog six-channel mixer for standalone or Eurorack configurations featuring CV control and filtering.
Six Analog Channels and Eurorack Compatibility
Union Audio expands its lineup with the AREA.6, a six-channel mixer designed for live performance setups. The fully analog mixer can be used standalone or mounted into a Eurorack system. It features six stereo/mono channels, each equipped with a tilt EQ, cue and mute functions, two aux sends, and a filter section.
Sound Shaping and Dynamics Control
The integrated low-pass/high-pass filter offers five controls: frequency, resonance, filter select, aux send, and drive. A CV input allows sweeping the filter across its entire frequency range. The mixer also includes an onboard compressor featuring ratio, threshold, and gain controls, along with negative compression capability for pumping effects and an audio sidechain input.
CV Integration and Connectivity
Control voltage modulation extends beyond the filter circuit. Incoming CV signals can manipulate channel levels, auxiliary sends, and panning. Additionally, the unit provides a compressor CV output ranging from +5V without compression down to 0V at full compression.
For audio routing, AREA.6 includes the following connections:
- Mix out jack
- Two aux sends
- Left and right channel inserts
- Two stereo returns
