Signs of a new model for AKAI's clip-launcher groovebox have emerged. A video shared on Reddit shows the retail box of the Force G2. While the hardware itself is not visible in the clip, the packaging suggests an unchanged control layout and a silver finish.
Rumors and Upcoming Announcements
The original Force was released in 2019. Recently, both the MPC One and the MPC Key 37 received G2 versions, featuring expanded storage, improved performance, and USB-C connectivity. There is currently no official confirmation regarding the Force G2. According to the video, the unit is slated for release in January 2027, coinciding with the timing of NAMM.
The manufacturer previously stated plans to introduce 22 new products at the trade show, alongside The Creator Lab, a platform designed for developers, creators, and modders. This aligns with earlier details regarding modding capabilities for the MPC Sample and Sample Key.
