B2B Studio Enables Real-Time Back-to-Back DJ Sets Across Cities

B2B Studio connects two to four DJs across different cities for real-time sets. The online platform relies on emulations of familiar club hardware.
B2B Studio has introduced a platform designed to let two to four DJs in different cities perform a single back-to-back set together in real time, using their own music. Instead of streaming audio from laptop to laptop, each computer runs the set locked to a shared clock. Tracks reach every booth prior to playback without being stored permanently. Control movements such as faders, hot cues, and loops apply simultaneously across all locations, with audio decoded and mixed locally in 32-bit floating point.
Setup and Technical Features
The virtual setup is modelled after well-known DJ gear. Players replicate the Pioneer DJ CDJ-3000X, paired with either a six-channel mixer based on the DJM-V10-LF or Allen & Heath's Xone:96. The send loops incorporate effects modelled on Strymon's TimeLine and BigSky pedals.
- Direct reading of rekordbox USB drives with playlists, cues, beat grids, and keys without uploading files
- Direct recording to WAV or MP3
- Push-to-talk key for mid-set communication
- Full MIDI controller mapping and camera feeds positioned on the jog wheel
- Public room pages displaying synced mixer movements, video feeds, and chat
- Integrated purchase links to Beatport, Bandcamp, Discogs, Juno, and Hard Wax for played tracks
The creators present B2B Studio as a training and rehearsal tool for home practice and learning, explicitly noting it is not meant to replace club equipment or serve in live venue environments. The platform is accessible via web browsers or dedicated desktop applications for Mac and Windows at b2bstudio.live.
