Behringer has introduced the Polyeight, an eight-voice replica of the Korg Polysix featuring modern enhancements.
Uli Behringer has revealed the Polyeight, a replica of the Korg Polysix.
Increased polyphony and modern features
The layout of the Behringer Polyeight closely mirrors the classic design, but it includes technical additions. While the original instrument from Korg was limited to six voices, this version provides eight voices. The chosen product name highlights this increase in polyphony.
Furthermore, the synthesizer incorporates contemporary connectivity and controls not present on the historical unit. The device features:
- MIDI and USB ports
- Support for velocity sensitivity and aftertouch
- A built-in display with an underlying button
The control panel otherwise matches the layout of the original hardware. Additional information has been shared via the manufacturer's Facebook page.
