Friday Night Live #01 — The Kick-Off of the Club Night

20:00 CET, on the dot. The stream goes live. On the Twitch channel the camera feed from the studio, on the radio stream the identical mix — both sides synchronised, chat in Club Mode open. Friday Night Live #01 is officially rolling.

The first hour: warm-up with a statement

Thorin opens with a ten-minute ambient passage — drones, field recordings, no beat. A deliberate choice. „Anyone joining tonight knows what they're signing up for," he writes in chat himself as the first listeners trickle in. Within the first fifteen minutes 120 listeners are connected simultaneously, after half an hour over 200. No peak-numbers spectacle, but solid.

Then he pulls. The first real track, „Mourning Protocol" by a Berlin producer, brings the 140-bpm foundation. Immediate reactions in chat: fire emojis, a „finally" from Mexico, a calm „here we go" from Scotland.

Peak 1: tracklist highlights of the second and third hour

The real club phase ran between 21:30 and 23:30. Here are five of the tracks that pulled the chat out of reserve. Anyone hunting IDs usually digs them straight out of the Beatport Hard Techno charts:

• Void Dialect — „Ferrum Atlas" — industrial hammer with metal-hit percussion. Triggered the first coordinated emoji storm in chat.


• Nyx Vektor — „Signal Decay" — hypnotic, slower track that allowed a long mix passage.


• Thorin Tønsberg — „Unlabeled" (unreleased dub) — more on the artist in the current Thorin portrait. Chat reactions unambiguous: „ID!!!", „release plz", „RU011 when".


• Almon — „Halbmast" — the only RU release in the early phase.


• Cold Kernel — „Thermal Throw" — around 23:00 the hardest moment of the show, just under 150 bpm, distorted kick, minimal rest.

Peak 2: the international hour

From 00:00 onward the chat was audibly international. Listeners from São Paulo joined as dinner time set in there; early late-afternoon listeners trickled in from the US east coast. Thorin greeted them by name — São Paulo, Warsaw, Lagos, Portland. The shoutouts appear in the stream overlay, driven by a StreamToolz widget displaying them live.

Chat was running at full tilt through this phase. Live requests were coordinated via a command bot, and several wishes were pulled directly into the next mix point. A listener from Osaka asked for a „slower interlude" — Thorin delivered a ten-minute passage with two 125-bpm dub techno numbers. Standing ovation in chat.

Peak 3: the final stretch

Between 01:00 and 02:00 Thorin cranked it up once more. No melodic soft landing but a closing phase that felt like a statement: hard kicks, industrial textures, a closer track rolling out for ten minutes that hit the 02:00 deadline precisely.

Peak concurrent viewers: 387 on Twitch, plus about 110 radio listeners in parallel. Overall more than 1400 unique viewers through the show. Club-mode messages in chat: roughly 3200. For a first episode, a start clearly above expectations.

Twitch and radio in parallel: why it works

Running both streams in parallel is a deliberate choice. Twitch delivers picture, chat and community feeling; the radio stream runs for listeners who just want music — in the background while cooking, working or on the way home.
