A Label as a Statement
According to its own manifesto, Your Utopia My Dystopia is a platform for raw, forward-thinking electronic music — made for listeners who want substance over social-media trends. The label's debut release didn't come from Martha Dark herself, though: Irish producer Tree Threes kicked things off with "Come Back". "Emotion (Detroit Mix)" is her first own release on her own imprint.
"Your Utopia My Dystopia" — conceived as a platform "to push creative and forward-thinking house sounds".
From Belfast to London and Back
Martha Dark spent time in London but is now based again in her hometown Belfast. There she's built a reputation bridging deep house, Chicago house, deep tech, and melodic techno. She cites influences like K-Hand, Derrick May, Floorplan, and Daft Punk — a mix that echoes in the Detroit reference of the new track.
Beyond production, she's also active as a promoter: together with Bang Bike, she co-founded the Belfast house event series Project 5. Its debut event as part of the Sound of Belfast Festival sold out within six days.
