Eleven Tracks, One Story
"AURA" spans eleven tracks and lands digitally plus as a double LP pressed on blue and white vinyl. The timing is no accident: the release coincides with the tenth anniversary of Lens' debut track "Exhale," which dropped in 2016.
Musically, the album fuses driving techno rhythms with the Belgian DJ and producer's own vocals, telling — in her words — the story of her rise over the past decade.
Amelie Lens on the Idea Behind the Album
Lens describes "AURA" as a personal work: "'AURA' is my story. It's about the connection between the crowd and me. Music has always been my escape, my way of turning emotions and energy into something new."
"When I was younger, I disappeared into nightclubs and created my own world in my head there. Being in clubs gave me this feeling of belonging, I felt connection and freedom like never before. That feeling completely changed my life."
On the album's through-line she adds: "This album reflects that whole journey. From playing small local clubs and those late-night drives to gigs, to standing on massive festival stages, becoming a mother, building EXHALE, and learning how to balance it all in life."
The Road to the Album
"AURA" follows Lens' recent single "whatever you do", released in April via Sony Music. For techno heads tracking the evolution of major peak-time acts, the debut slots into a wave of current drops — like those in our roundup of the best hard techno releases 2026.
