Roland has introduced the JUPITER-08 synth and announced the new n/vision wavetable synthesizer.
Marking 45 years of the JUPITER-8, Roland has released the JUPITER-08 boutique synth. The instrument serves as an update to the erstwhile JP-08, which faithfully reproduced the sounds of the original JUPITER-8.
Features of the JUPITER-08
The JUPITER-08 adopts the sound design of the JUPITER-8 and expands the eight-voice, two-part architecture to 32 voices, housed in a smaller and more portable format. Technical additions include:
- 17 MFX types
- Chorus alongside dedicated delay and reverbs
- Refined voice allocation and pitch behaviour
The manufacturer promises enhanced polyphonic performance combined with a character inspired by vintage hardware.
The n/vision wavetable synth
In addition to this release, Roland announced the n/vision wavetable synthesizer. It is described as a unit combining classic wavetable synthesis with advanced technologies developed by the company.
Last month, Roland also revealed Melody Flip, a melody-generation plug-in designed to assist artists by providing a pattern library across 250 Palettes.
