Yaeltex has unveiled its V3 generation of modular MIDI controllers featuring integrated color displays and updated hardware.
Modular Hardware with Displays
Yaeltex has presented Yaeltex V3, an updated generation of customizable MIDI controllers. These devices are configured from modular hardware components and handcrafted in Argentina once the design is finished. Users include Richie Hawtin, Arca, and Fred again.
The main update is the addition of integrated screens. Through a browser-based designer, users can place up to 16 full-color 0.96-inch displays across the surface. These screens handle real-time feedback, dynamic labels, VU meters, and alternate views triggered internally or externally.
Expanded Controls and Connectivity
The updated hardware platform supports up to 64 endless encoders and 128 analog controls. Also available are an RGB-illuminated push encoder and a crossfader designed for DJ and VJ applications. An extended enclosure made from Lenga wood is offered as an option.
Inside, the controllers feature updated microcontrollers. Connection options comprise two USB-C ports for power, data transfer, and MIDI routing, alongside TRS MIDI inputs, outputs, and a thru port.
Redesigned Configuration Software
The configuration software for macOS and Windows has been completely redeveloped. It allows users to assign MIDI messages, channels, ports, and feedback parameters. A model preview function allows for full configuration before the controller is connected or delivered.
