Berlin's Callush fuses German rap with hard techno on new HEKATE single "Durchgemacht," marking her second release this year on Sara Landry's imprint.
With "Durchgemacht", Berlin-based DJ and producer Callush returns to the label HEKATE – the hard techno imprint of Sara Landry. German Rap Meets Hard Techno
Callush describes "Durchgemacht" as a deliberate departure from her usual production approach: she wanted to incorporate German rap influences that she usually only weaves into her DJ sets, writing lyrics herself that fit her artistic character. According to the announcement, the track is meant to convey a "fun and chaotic energy" – a counter-concept to the purely functional peak-time tool that hard techno often is.
