Native Instruments dévoile Massive XL, une évolution de Massive X intégrant l'import de tables d'ondes et de nouvelles modulations.
New features for the software synthesizer
Native Instruments has introduced Massive XL, an evolution of the Massive X synthesizer. The instrument includes a revised user interface with animated modulators and clearer routing assignments.
A notable addition is the Preset Generator, which features stem separation to analyze audio files and build new patches. Borrowed from Absynth 6, the Mutator provides sound generation tools, while individual sections can be randomized using module sub-presets. Both the Animator modulator and the Morpher X/Y pad include a Freeze mode.
Expanded sonic capabilities and effects
The update integrates several new sound elements and options:
- Over 100 new wavetables, including material from Massive and PPG Wave
- More than 100 new noise tables
- User wavetable import with sample and sample library conversion
- Raum reverb, Replika Shimmer, and Tape Wobble effects
- Polyphonic aftertouch and a new factory library
All presets and packs from Massive X remain fully compatible.
“Massive has always been about giving producers the freedom to create sounds that feel uniquely their own,” said Tim Adnitt, Senior Director of Product Management at Native Instruments. “With Massive XL, we’ve focused on helping users reach those sounds faster. It delivers the character, flexibility, and control Massive is known for while introducing new tools that make exploration, experimentation, and sound creation more immediate.”
